N.A. Crash Meeting by Humanetics

September 8, 2015 - Humanetics successfully held its first North American Crash Meeting. Humanetics successfully held its first North American Crash Meeting from August 20th through 21st, 2015 at the Crowne Plaza Detroit Downtown Riverfront, the Forty-two Degrees North Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center and the Humanetics facility in Huron, OH. The event provided more than 50 guests from a large range of safety vested companies the opportunity to discuss in-person the latest insights, news and technical updates within the crash test industry.

The two-day event included a day of technical presentations on the latest industry news by Humanetics and industry leaders. Jack Jensen from GM, Becky Muller from IIHS and Joseph Pellettiere from the FAA were guest speakers who presented the highlights on safety research, accident reconstruction and aviation crashworthiness testing. In the evening, guests were invited to the beautiful Forty-two Degrees North conference space located inside of the iconic Marriott hotel for dinner and drinks, accompanied by a panoramic view of the riverfront and the city of Windsor. Humanetics' sales staff were delighted to meet some of their customers in person and to further discuss the current state and future of safety testing, and how to best collaborate inreaching the common safety goals.

On day two the guests were accommodated to the Humanetics manufacturing location in Huron, OH for a facility tour along with Q&A forums.

“The event was invaluable for us to create more transparency for end-users on our many initiatives to further improve the key aspects of customers’ wants and needs. We were proud to present tangible results such as shortened lead-times and the brand new Platinum Spare Parts Program. This is also an important event where we can take the opportunity to show our token of appreciation to our customers. Based on the success of this first annual North American meeting, future meetings will be anticipated.” said Michael Jarouche, VP of Global Sales and Marketing.

Humanetics has sponsored a similar crash meeting in Heidelberg Germany (Humanetics Germany) for the last several years with great outcomes. More than 130 external participants working for 75 different companies from 12 countries attended last year, bolstering the effectiveness and popularity of the meeting. In response, Humanetics has expanded the frequency of the annual Crash Meetings in 2015 to include locations in North America, Japan and soon China to better connect personally with the customers from all around the world.

Guests at all of the regional crash meetings have been active in asking questions and gaining insight into the industry and the role Humanetics plays. The meetings also provide both a professional and social format for industry peers to meet and discuss current issues facing the vehicle safety industry and just having a great time as colleagues and friends.

“We hope our future meetings will continue to grow and have the positive impact we see today.” said Jarouche.
