Abdominal Compression - TE-400-000
The Abdomen Compression Test Fixture certifies the response of the Hybrid II 50th Male Abdomen to a continuously applied compressing force. This is an abdomen compression test and it requires the use of the assembled thorax, lumbar, and pelvis. This is considered a system test for the certification of the abdomen according to the federal rules and regulations stated for the 49 CFR Part 572.9 Subpart B Anthropomorphic Test Devices. The assembly is laid on its back on the base of the fixture. The load is applied by use of a rigid half cylinder applied through the abdomen at a point of 9.2 inches from the base of the buttocks.
The fixture includes instrumentation to measure loading rate, force and deflection. Data acquisition equipment and processing software are available and can be ordered separately.
Humanetics can provide turnkey certification equipment and system services. This includes certification, data acquisition equipment, and software installation with complete system.
