Infra-Red Telescoping Rod for the Assessment of Chest Compression
Home › Instrumentation › Infra-Red Telescoping Rod for the Assessment of Chest Compression
Principle of Operation
The irradiance from an emitter infrared LED is detected by an infrared phototransistor. The irradiance is related to the distance between the emitter and the detector according to an inverse square law.
The current from the detector is linearly related to the irradiance. The current is converted to voltage and linearized using inverter and square rooter analog circuits.
