The construction of P0 is different from the other child dummies:

The newest addition to the P-series is the P11/2 (18 months dummy, specified for the evaluation of restraining devices in the 0+ group of ECE-R44). The P1 1/2 consists of a plastic skeleton covered with flesh and skin simulating polymer. Unlike the other dummies in the P-series, the P1 1/2 dummy contains only few metal parts.

Head
The head is a hollow polyurethane form reinforced with a steel plate frame. The Atlas-axis joint, consisting of a polyamide block, allows rotation around a vertical axis and rotation around a horizontal lateral axis.
Neck
The neck consists of a core of polyamide elements through which the upper end of the steel spine cable is fed. Around the core elements are 5 polyurethane discs.
Torso
The torso is a steel T-shaped frame covered with polyurethane. There is a vertical tube in the torso to accommodate the spine cable. The spine cable consists of threaded steel rods, connected by flexible steel cables.
Lumbar Spine
The lumbar spine assembly consists of a number of polyamide elements representing separate vertebrae. The elements are held together by two strips. The shape of the elements allows for bending of the upper torso in a forward direction but prevents significant rearward and sideward movement.
Lower Torso
The lower torso consists of a glass fiber reinforced polyester frame holding the steel hip tube. The frame is covered with polyurethane. The spine cable holds together the assembly of atlas/axis block, neck, upper torso, lumbar vertebrae and lower torso.
Abdominal Insert
The abdominal insert is a soft open cell polyurethane foam shape that fills the opening at the front of the lumbar spine between the upper torso and the lower torso.
Arms
The arms consist of an aluminum and steel frame covered with polyurethane. The upper arms are connected to the shoulder by ball joints. The lower arms are connected to the upper arms by hinge joints.
Legs
The legs consist of a polyurethane covered steel and aluminum frame. The upper legs are connected to the hip tube by ball joints. The lower legs are connected to the upper legs by hinge joints.
