U.S DOT Enhances 5-Star Safety Ratings for New Cars

 
On Tuesday, December 8, 2015, the U.S. Department of Transportation has proposed several changes to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s 5-Star Safety Ratings for the new vehicles. The adaptations will include additional advanced testing and newer, more biofidelic crash test dummies such as the Test device for Human Occupant Restraint (THOR) and the Worldwide harmonized Side Impact Dummy (WorldSID).
